Occupational Health and Safety Policy

At KNP Logistics Group we have a strong commitment and sense of responsibility towards our most valued asset, our employees, and as such we endeavour to keep them safe at all times. Through ongoing training initiatives, proactive management and stringent policies, KNP Logistics Group aims to provide a safe environment for our employees to work in and a safe and reliable service for our clients. Please see our H&S aims and objectives below:

SCOPE
To provide a safe environment for all staff, contractors and visitors by eliminating or minimising Health & Safety risks associated with its activities. The overall objectives are to provide a safe, healthy and enjoyable place of work that benefits our employees, visitors, clients and contractors that also fully meets both the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the relevant regulations related to our industry.

To help us achieve and maintain these goals we are working towards the recognised ISO45001 standard for Health & Safety. This Health & Safety system will compliment other standards and will come within the overall control of the quality system allowing for regular audits, reviews and improvements. Our Health & Safety Management system specifies the means provided to implement, monitor and continually improve this policy.

QUALITY AND HYGIENE POLICY STATEMENT
As one of the UK’s leading and distribution companies, KNP Logistics Group has adopted a policy of operating and developing a quality and hygiene management system based on the ISO9001 – 2008 standard and British Retail Consortium Global Storage & Distribution Standard for continual improvement across our distribution and secure warehousing UK solutions.

We actively drive our food safety standards throughout our supply chain by adhering to these recognised schemes.

We give our customers the confidence they require by being able to guarantee traceability and product safety.

We will aim to provide a service that exceeds our client’s expectations at the first attempt, to help us attain that goal we will strive to:

Establish strong links with both clients and suppliers, which will benefit quality for both parties
Monitor quality to identify non-conformances and drive continuous improvement
Develop the quality system based on employee involvement, and maintenance of the system
Communicate the quality objectives to al employees, including inducting new employees
Provide all employees with the training and support needed for
Actively encourage each employee to realise his or her full potential them to supply a quality service to all our clients

Having a team approach within the company, aimed at increasing the company’s competitiveness by improving quality, hygiene standards and performance.

We will operate and comply with all security, safety, legislative, regulatory and statutory requirements as stated in Knights of Old company policy.

We will comply with the requirements of various accredited schemes (ISO 9001:2008, BRC, FORS) and continue to blend the mixture of modern equipment and infrastructure with traditional core values to truly truly exceed our customer’s expectations

Environmental Policy Statement

We believe that we, as a business, are responsible for operating with a focus on sustainability, and for achieving good environmental performance and practice in our day-to-day operations. Therefore, we commit to minimizing the impact of our activities on our surroundings, and to protecting the environment as an integral part of our business strategy.

It is our policy to:

1) Prevent pollution through carbon emissions reduction initiatives, fuel usage reductions, energy usage reductions, and improvements in energy efficiency.

2) Fulfil our compliance obligations, comply with environmental legislation, and comply with environmental requirements set by clients.

3) Minimize waste arising from our operations, and reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.

4) Consider environmental issues through procurement activities.

5) Actively involve colleagues and stakeholders in the company’s environmental initiatives, and motivate them to carry out tasks in an environmentally responsible manner.

6) Ensure that all colleagues understand our environmental policy and Environmental Management System, and that they conform to its standards.

7) Enhance our environmental performance through continual improvement of the Environmental Management System, in line with international environmental management standard ISO14001:2015.
